Frequently asked questions

Who is this DJ course for?

This course is designed specifically for women and queer people who want to learn to DJ in a supportive, inclusive environment. Because the DJ industry is still largely male-dominated, we've created a space where you can learn, ask questions, and grow with confidence.

Do I need any experience to get started?

No, you don't need any prior knowledge. The course is specifically designed for beginners. You'll be guided step by step through every concept, so you can learn to DJ from scratch.

Do I need equipment to take the course?

You'll need DJ software to follow the course. While it's possible to complete many lessons without a controller, we highly recommend using a DJ controller to get the most out of your practice. Any brand or model will work.

How is the course structured?

The course includes over 50 video lessons across 7 structured modules. Each lesson builds on the previous one and includes practical exercises and homework, so you'll actively develop your skills instead of just watching videos.

Is there a community where I can get support?

Yes! You'll get access to a supportive community of women and gender-diverse DJs and creators. It's a space to ask questions, share your progress, exchange tips, and connect with others who are on the same journey.

How long does it take to complete the course?

There is no deadline or time limit to complete the course. You can learn at your own pace, depending on your schedule and how much time you dedicate to practicing. We recommend practicing after each lesson and completing all homework assignments before moving on to the next module. Progress when you feel confident and ready.

What will I learn in the course?

You'll learn the fundamentals of DJing, including beatmatching, mixing tracks, organizing your music library, understanding DJ software, and building smooth transitions. Each module includes practical exercises and assignments to help you develop real-world DJ skills.

Do the courses come with subtitles?

The videos do not include subtitles, but you can enable transcripts within the learning platform.
